I Hulu.

.: The best things in life are free.  TV used to be free.  In some places it still is, but if you’re currently living in 2008 without paying for tv, you’re either one of those people who are crying out ‘kill your television!’ from deep within your caves, or you’re somewhere over the age of 80, or you’re just too cheap to afford basic cable.

Thanks to the internets, TV is free again.

Well, I guess not really, considering most people are paying through the nose for internets.

I’ve just checked out and joined up with Hulu.com.  It’s free streaming TV shows and movies over the internets.  It looks good, sounds good and even my ancient box here running Firefox on Ubuntu has no problem with the quality of the audio or video.

Well, the video is a little jerky. But I’m watching it on a 450mhz machine with 256kb of ram.  I mean, that’s like driving around in a car fashioned from stone, logs and a sabretooth tiger pelt, that you need to start and stop with your bare feet.

Right now, I’m watching the season premeire of NBC’s Chuck. And this is about a week before it’s set to air on the old TV.

At the moment, while the number of shows and episodes are limited, there’s still a ton of stuff on there.  And like I said, it’s free (a few short ads is all you have to put up with) and at that price, you can’t not check it out.

Unless of course, you’re more interested in killing your TV while wearing out your 80 year old feet trying to stop your stone-age vehicle.
